Style Crush: Kristen Stewart and her edgy style

You could say that Kristen Stewart’s fashion has seriously evolved over the years, and it would not be an understatement! The 29-year-old actress has had a fierce red carpet styling sense has inspired many iconic moments, like cropped suit jackets, skin-tight jumpsuits and that iconic Chanel onesies that left the media wanting more. A style chameleon in the truest sense, the Twilight star has rocked many different styles with her signature edgy flair.

The L.A. resident started her career as a child actor back in 1999, but her true breakout came in 2008 when she took on the role of the innocent Bella Swan in the big-screen adaption of Twilight. And while her informal style consists almost exclusively of sneakers, jeans, and tees, she knows how to bring the fire on the red carpet.

The Chanel ambassador manages to give even the frilliest ensembles a rock ’n’ roll vibe thanks to her edgy style, haircuts and color and bold makeup, but she’s also been known to make a statement with her wardrobe choices as well.

In 2019, the actress served some memorable red carpet looks for movie premieres and A-lister events, like super-short shorts that showed off the star’s legs at the 45th American Film Festival in France. She paired it up with edgy accessories to reflect her signature cool-girl aesthetic. Her sunglasses game has also been on point every time she has stepped out into the sun. So here are a few of our favorite looks from her past years:

Classic Kristen

Remember the good old twilight days when the actress was relatively lesser-known, had teenage fans swooning all over her and was best described as the damsel in distress from the sulky saga of girl meets Vampire? That’s the Kristen we’re talking about. The actor’s go-to sunglasses used to be a pair of classic wayfarer sunglasses which in our opinion completely suited the young actor. Channel your inner classic Kristen with these uber-cool sunglasses that compliment any outfit.

Cool-girl aesthetic

Once the actor moved on from her role of the helpless girl, Stewart went on to completely change her hair, style, fashion sense, and personality. The then pre-teen sensation stepped into the shows of a mature, independent cool girl who knows her personal aesthetic. Seen here, she is wearing a pair of rad dark-tinted sunglasses which complimented her goth-style to the T! We think you can pull off this look easily too - as long as you have your silver chains handy!

Coming off age

Stewart went on to further explore different facets of her personality by trying on new styles, different hair, slightly punk choice in clothes and so on. Her ripped shirt and washed out denim were a clear indicator of her interest in different fashion styles. What stood out in this outfit were her dark-round sunglasses with clear frames, which we think, was a clear winner!

Sophisticated AF

Kristen Stewart’s style might have been a firm believer of everything punk-rock, but that doesn’t mean that she leaves her class at home. The actor sure knows how to mix up the two styles and brings it home with some great style! Look like this stunner with a pair of dark tiny sunglasses to bring out the classy ‘80s style in you.
